Alva Vernon Mankin
JULY 23, 1923 – NOVEMBER 6, 2018
Alva Vernon Mankin, 95 a former resident of Oklahoma passed away November 6, 2018 in Surprise, Arizona. Alva was born July 23, 1923 in McLoud, Oklahoma. He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Alva is preceded in passing by his parents, William T. and Viola Mankin (Knabe); wife, Billy June Mankin; son, Bobby W. Mankin; grandson, David W. Marsh; brother, Ivan “Chick” Mankin; brother, Bob Mankin and sister, Lorene Blalock. He is survived by his daughter, Alva Marsh and her husband Roy; son, Jim Mankin and his wife, Pamela; daughter, Annie Shurtliff; sister, Jean McAdams; grandchildren, Angela Milne, Brady Mankin and his spouse, Sarah, Casey Mankin and his spouse, Jill; great-grandchildren, Ellis and Brooks, Reese, Gage, Drew, Reid Mankin and one on the way; Mariah and Brook Gallego, great-great granddaughter, Raegan Anderson.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel
